Macmillan Orange Agreement

Orange and Macmillan promote the safe and responsible use of technology in the classroom for students

On the 26th September 2016, Orange and Macmillan Education signed an agreement to promote the safe and responsible use of technology amongst students. This is the first alliance between these two giants from the worlds of technology and education, respectively.

This alliance will begin to take shape through the launch of the first contest EducaInternet, which is targeted at teachers from any school in Spain that teach students between 4th grade primary school and 4th grade secondary school, as well as those teaching basic Professional Training.

The project stems from an alarming problem identified in modern society; young Spaniards are the most likely to become technology addicts and to use social networks in a careless manner. By helping to develop the potential of tomorrow’s generation, we can ensure that they are thoroughly prepared to navigate through the reality that awaits us.

To enter the contest, teachers simply have to register on the website and present a classroom project in a digital format that demonstrates how the students have developed good habits with regards to safe and responsible use of technology.

Those interested in participating, can register their project from 1st November 2016 until the 28th February 2017, included. The best projects will win an unforgettable technological experience for the whole class, as well as an electronic device for the teacher.

For further information, visit the website; here the teacher will be provided with activity sheets and tutorials to help create a digital resource with students that can be submitted into the contest.
